Specialized Financial Institutions (SFIs)
SFIs are financial institutions that established by enabling acts indicating the role and responsibility of each SFI. SFIs, however, have generally been considered as the government’s arm length of policy implementation to provide various financial assistance to certain sectors of the economy with the purpose of sustainable development in social and economic sectors. With a wide range of services including microcredit facilities and advisory services, SFIs are able to tap various type of clients especially, their main target group, the under privilege people neglected by the private financial institutions. Those target sector including the grass roots and SMEs are playing an important role in country development and need more opportunity as well as support from the government.  In practice, SFIs have been supervised and regulated by the government through policy guidance and as the stakeholder.
